Stars v. Chicago, 8/10 Game Recap

The Stars fell to the Chicago Sky 94-74 in Thursday night’s road contest at the Allstate Arena.

San Antonio’s Dearica Hamby turned in another strong performance off the bench, matching a season-high with 17 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Isabelle Harrison fell just short of a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds, while rookie point guard Kelsey Plum scored eight points and dished out eight assists.

Sydney Colson notched eight points and a season-high seven assists off the bench, while Sequoia Holmes scored a career-high 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting.

The Stars made 7-of-12 three-point attempts on the night, with Plum and Holmes knocking down two apiece.

The Sky had four players reach double-figures in scoring, led by Courtney Vandersloot’s game-high 21 points. Vandersloot also recorded 10 assists, and Allie Quigley collected 17 points and nine assists.

The Stars will look to get back into the win column when they return home Saturday, August 12, for a game against the Atlanta Dream. Opening tip is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center.
