Stars @ New York, 9/1 Game Recap

Kelsey Plum led the Stars in points for the third time this season, but San Antonio still fell to the Liberty 77-67 Friday night at Madison Square Garden. 

Plum made 5-of-9 field goals, including 3-of-4 from three-point range, en route to 16 points, while Kayla Alexander pitched in 15 points and a season-high nine rebounds. 

Isabelle Harrison scored 10 points and Kayla McBride dished out a career-high eight assists. Alex Montgomery led the team with 11 rebounds, the tenth time she has done that and the seventh time she has reached double-figures in rebounds.

For New York, Epiphany Price and Tina Charles led the way with 16 points, while Shavonte Zellous scored 10.

The Stars return to the court Saturday, September 2, for their final game of the season against the Indiana Fever. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
