San Antonio Stars to Promote Breast Health for 15th Season During Women’s Health Awareness Week
Team Will Host 15th Annual Breast Health Awareness Game, Presented by Methodist Healthcare System, on August 5 and Go Red for Women Night on August 4
Special T-Shirt-and-Ticket Package for Breast Health Awareness Night will Support Local Breast Cancer Charities

SAN ANTONIO (July 25, 2017) – The San Antonio Stars will support local breast cancer charities during the 15th annual Breast Health Awareness Night, presented by Methodist Healthcare System, on Saturday, Aug. 5 vs. the Seattle Storm at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center. The Stars will also host the Washington Mystics at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 4 during Go Red for Women Night to round out Women’s Health Awareness Week and raise funds and awareness for the American Heart Association.

On Breast Health Awareness Night, the Stars will wear pink jerseys, and a portion of proceeds from the BHA Ticket Package – which starts at just $19 and includes a ticket and a pink performance t-shirt – will go to local breast cancer nonprofits. Last season, the Stars Breast Health Awareness Night raised $27,900.

The first 5,000 guests in attendance at Saturday’s game will receive an I Pink For Fanbango. Fans are encouraged to honor a loved one who has battled breast cancer by writing their name in the space provided on the noisemakers.

The Stars have partnered with several businesses and community groups to celebrate the survivor spirit and continue the fight against breast cancer. All fans are invited to attend a pregame health fair along with the Pink Ladies Breast Cancer Support Group of PRMA Plastic Surgery at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5.
